Area Sales Manager – Catering & Janitorial Supplies

Ideal for those with experience in sales and account management or a pro-active professional looking for a career change.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our business within our Catering and Janitorial Supplies department.

We are looking for someone who represent our Company in a friendly and professional way and has a desire to build a career in customer service, sales and account management.

Our aim is to grow our Catering and Janitorial Supplies department by promoting products and services throughout Cumbria. This department is responsible for the sale of cleaning materials, cleaning equipment, disposables and catering products to a wide range of business types.

Ideal candidates will have the following characteristics:

  • Experience in sales (but not essential)
  • Highly motivated and dedicated
  • Friendly and team-orientated
  • Good communicator
  • Proactive, organised and reliable
  • Reasonable computer skills

If successful in application you will be expected to:

  • Make an immediate impact
  • Increase sales within a defined area by maintaining/enhancing relationships with existing customers
  • Increase sales within a defined area by establishing new customer relationships

Night Picker & Quality Checker

Pay & Benefits

The basic rate of pay is £7.90 per hour. You will also get 28 days paid holiday, good breaks, discounts on food and drink, as well as a secure and permanent position within a forward thinking business.

Working Hours

Approximately 40 hours per week. Normal shifts would be 19:00 to 04.00 Sundays to Fridays. We do require applicants to be flexible to help cover busy seasonal periods from time-to-time.

Skills Required

Previous experience of working nights is essential. Being physically fit is also really important as you will be required to do some heavy lifting, combined with pushing assembled orders around our warehouse operation. You will be working in a large and experienced team who are able to offer you lots of support in your new role. Basic IT skills are required and it helps to be thorough, friendly and organised. You require a drivers licence and access to your own transport to get to work.

About The Role
Our warehouse-based Assembly Team are responsible for picking orders for our customers, and ensuring that their orders are picked accurately and to the highest quality.

In addition to picking customer orders you will be required to maintain the high levels of cleanliness throughout our warehouse operation.

From our base at Embleton near Cockermouth, we deliver food and drink products to restaurants, hotels, cafes, schools and many other caterers throughout Cumbria and SW Scotland. We employ over 100 people and offer a nice environment to progress your career.
