2009 was the 16th anniversary of Grapevine the Wineservice Company thanks to many loyal customers, loyal suppliers and loyal staff. We are looking at the next decade with great enthusiasm and excitement.

Year after year we strive to bring to you new products in an effort to keep our range interesting. However, many of our wines have become old favourites on your list and you seem reluctant to replace them. It is, of course, a credit to their makers who have been consistently reliable, together with their "value for money" philosophy.

This year, again we bring to you a wider range of interesting wines from all around the World within which the trend for "Old World" classics has been clearly noticed.

Our team of committed and enthusiastic people, led by MD and acknowledged wine enthusiast Pascal Delorme, are always at your disposal to discuss your requirements and help you to design an interesting wine list.

Bringing in a new list is always an exciting time. The phrase "out with the old and in with the new" has the feel of a new beginning, a fresh start. The 2009 selection of wine is not so much a new collection, far from it, as the backbone of our list is full of old favourites, but a new style and fresh approach.

Grapevine is not standing still but constantly moving forward. Fresh thinking winemakers like Andrew Mitchell from the Clare Valley in Australia, Bernard Chamfort and his sons Romain and Thibaut at Domaine de Verquiere bringing classic but modern Rhone wines. Chris Pask from Hawkes Bay in New Zealand all add to the dynamism that is driving Grapevine forward. Each year will see new and exciting wines come on board and the range expand. Quality and value have always been the guidelines here at Embleton and this year will be no exception.
