Caterite Foodservice is Cumbria’s leading fresh food produce supplier based in the Lake District. Caterite stock over 350 lines of fresh fruit and vegetables including salads, herbs, prepared fruit, prepared vegetables, edible flowers, dried mushrooms, living micro herbs, micro salads, fresh fruit juices and much more.
All fresh produce lines are available to order online, and all prices are listed on our advanced eCommerce website where you can expereince a personalised experience and find nutritional information, allergen information, similar products, order from history, view and download invoices and credits and much more.
We have made significant investments in technology and infrastructure, from state of the art voice-picking, real time stock checking, warehouse renovation to new Mercedes multi-temperature fridge and freezer vans. All our fresh produce lines are delivered and stored in an unbroken cool chain to maintain maximum freshness when delivered to our customers. We maintain the ‘Higher Level’ NSF Certification for food wholesaling, Storage and Distribution.
We source our fresh produce direct from over 30 suppliers locally and globally, most of which are growers and exporters this ensures fresh quality produce and better delivery.
We source our fresh produce lines direct from suppliers up and down the country and we now have a newly graphiced artic wagon making collections, this saves food miles whilst ensuring our products stay fresh and consistently high in quality.
When choosing suppliers, it is not only the product quality we care about but the way they source their products, how they treat their suppliers and the environment. We always check their accreditations, assurance certificates and whether they comply with ETI (Ethical Trading Initiative).
