Stock Ordering Assistant

We are currently looking for a junior buyer to join our trading team at Embleton. This is a great opportunity to develop in a professional and exciting role.

About the Role

This is a pivotal role in the business that will see you managing your own range, whilst supporting your team on other category and administrative areas. The successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Friday with shift hours of 09:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Raising orders according to requirements.
  • Sending orders to suppliers.
  • Monitoring orders placed to ensure delivery is on time.
  • Communicate with other buyers and the sales team on any delays or issues within your supply chain.
  • Reporting to line manager on any issues.
  • Provide administrative support, typing, scanning, data input.

Experience in working within a busy office is of advantage but full training will be provided, the shift can go from relaxed to hectic at times, as the workload can quickly change therefore a flexible, focused, and hands-on approach is of benefit.

About You

You will be committed, driven and willing to learn, you ideally will have some previous experience within purchasing/buying, (ideally 1+ years, although this is flexible). You must have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your work and be confident working to strict deadlines. You will need to be IT literate in particular Excel and Word. You will also need to display the following attributes:

  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to recognise confidentiality and act in a professional manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Customer Service Advisor – Night Shift

We are currently looking for a Customer Service Advisor with experience in a busy sales environment to join our Customer Service Team in Embleton.

About the Role

This vacancy is in our multi-skilled Customer Support sales team, meaning that you'll be the first point of contact for all customers who call us with orders and queries. You'll provide excellent customer service and use your sales skills to give added peace of mind, by up-selling other products that customers can purchase that best suit their needs. Successful candidates will be required to work 5 nights per week between Sunday and Friday, shift hours 5.00pm – 12.00am.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • First in class customer service- answering incoming calls as well as making outbound sales calls.
  • Maintain online Live chat with customers.
  • Maintenance of customer and pricing records.
  • Ensuring customers are always informed of our new product offerings and current promotions.
  • Serving our customers with professionalism and excellence – you will manage a daily call list – calling our customers at the right time and taking their order with accuracy.
  • Telesales representatives must be motivated and determined with a target driven mentality as you will be required to hit sales, meet weekly targets and upsell using your knowledge of current Caterite products and new lines.

Experience in working within the busy sales office is of advantage but full training on products, procedures and systems will be provided. The shift can go from relaxed to hectic at times, as the workload can quickly change depending on the amount of calls received therefore a flexible, focused and hands-on approach is of benefit.

About You

A skilled customer service and sales professional, you'll thrive on beating sales targets - but you'll always make sure that the customer's interests come first. You understand the customer's perspective and have a natural ability to build a strong rapport and demonstrate empathy when needed. You'll be a confident multi-tasker who can be resilient and show a great team spirit! Experience working in a targeted sales or customer service workplace would be beneficial, but not essential as training on all aspects of the role is provided. You’ll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You’ll have an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills. You’ll deliver high standards, working accurately and efficiently. You care about delivering goods to customers ‘on time in full’ as ensuring customers have the right stock at the right time means our products are always available for our customers.

  • Previous sales and upselling experience.
  • Previous customer service experience.

Production Operative

We are currently looking for Production Operatives to join our prepared fruit and vegetable team at the Caterprep site in Penrith, helping to prepare fruit and vegetables in our production rooms for caterers throughout Cumbria and South West Scotland. This is a great opportunity to join a finalist in the Cumbria life awards 2019 for best business, with a friendly vibrant atmosphere and team. previous production work experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

About the Role

We currently produce a range of quality fresh fruit and vegetables that are peeled, sliced, diced or cut into various shapes and sizes, you will be working within one of the production rooms preparing each product using various machinery or equipment and packing them into large tubs ready for bagging and labelling, production is set around customers daily orders which makes for a fast-moving, busy and varied day. Successful candidates will be required to work 5 days per week between Monday and Friday with shift hours of 06:00 hrs to 14:30 hrs.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of products.
  • Light to medium lifting of products required.
  • Quality checking of products.
  • Keeping paperwork up to date.
  • Packing finished products.
  • Picking and palletising orders ready for despatch.
  • Replenishing stock of all shapes and sizes in the warehouse.
  • Operating machinery and equipment (don’t worry, we’ll fully train you on how to use all the equipment safely and effectively).
  • Maintaining the high standards of operation in the production and storage areas.

Experience in working within the busy environments of a production department is of advantage but full training on machinery, procedures and systems will be provided. The shift can go from relaxed to hectic at times, as the workload can quickly change depending on the amount of orders received therefore a flexible, focused and hands-on approach is of benefit.

You’ll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, be able to work under pressure to deadlines and targets, working with your team to deliver great results. You’ll have an enthusiastic approach to learning new skills. You will have excellent communication skills with good attention to detail and a can-do attitude. You’ll deliver high standards, working accurately and efficiently. You care about delivering goods to customers ‘on time in full’ as ensuring customers have the right stock at the right time means our products are always available for our customers.
