**NORTH WEST BASED ROLE**
We’re a forward thinking, rapidly growing, distributor of high-quality foodservice products and ingredients for chefs. Having grown exponentially in the last several years, and in tandem with the opening of multiple new hubs to expand our reach across the North of England and Scotland, we’re looking for a new Area Sales Manager to join our tight knit, dedicated and fun-loving Sales Team,
In the role, you’ll be expected to maintain and grow sales and relationships within our existing customer base, as well as identifying and maximizing opportunities to work with new customers within our target demographic, to further accelerate our expansion into more areas.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years’ experience on the field, a track record for exceeding targets, in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, and cares as much about our customers outcomes as the customer does themselves. We actively recruit people who have had previous careers in hospitality to ensure that they fully understand the impacts of the service that we offer, to our customer base. Key responsibilities:
- Creating, maintaining and growing relationships within our existing customer base
- Identifying and targeting opportunities, and establishing strong and trusting relationships with prospective clients

- Negotiating pricing, contractual terms and services offered
- Engaging in supplier activity to support our commercial team, and brands that we’re committed to working with

Wineservice Director
The Wineservice Director will be responsible for all activities relating to the business. From the operational performance, portfolio and range development, profit and loss, marketing/brand development, culture and leadership of the Grapevine team. The successful candidate will have total accountability for achieving a mutually agreed financial budget and will be reporting into the Managing Director and wider board of Caterite Food and Wineservice Limited.
We are recruiting for this position to drive Grapevines long-term sustainable growth whilst developing, executing, and continuously adapting to support the wider METRO strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering the agreed financial budget, including
- Sales, purchasing and commercial maintenance and development
- Profit and loss accountability
- Leadership and culture.
- Training and education.
- Maintaining levels of communication to the Caterite Food and Wineservice management board.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of running a successful wine/drinks business or operating at a senior/director level within a national distributor.
- Willingness and ability to be hands on with all levels of the division.
- Expert level of product knowledge, supply chain and logistics.
- High levels of energy and be an inspirational leader to develop our existing team.
- Take ownership of actions and make responsible decisions.
- Ability to collaborate with our wider company to the benefit of Caterite Food and Wineservice Limited.
- Able to implement and embrace our business transformation agenda.
- The successful candidate will be expected to live within a commutable distance to our distribution facilities.

Delivery drivers have a critical role within our company as you are the face of Caterite while delivering to our customers. Therefore, the successful applicant will need to be friendly, enthusiastic, physically fit, reliable and able to work alone and as part of a team. Successful candidates will be required to work 35 hours over 5/6 days per week, based on a rolling rota across Monday to Saturday. Flexibility around start and finish times is required from you as you could be on site as early as 03.00 am. based on the delivery destination. This could be the role for you if you prefer early morning starts.
You will be responsible for:
- Checking and loading their own vehicle
- Checking paperwork and route planning
- Delivering goods to customers and verifying the contents of your loads against invoice papers
- Delivering mainly in Cumbria and Southwest Scotland but as far afield as Chester and the North East.
- Communication with customers and the Transport office
Experience in working within the busy dispatch department is of advantage but full training on products, procedures and systems will be provided. The shift can go from relaxed to hectic at times, as the workload can quickly change depending on the number of orders received therefore a flexible, focused and hands-on approach is of benefit.

Candidates must.
- Hold a current clean driving licence (experience in driving a Box or long wheelbase van preferable but not essential as full training will be provided).
- For Class 2 applicants they need to hold a current clean driving licence with C1 class (must be valid for driving up to 7.5tonne).
- Hold a current Digi-Tacho card. (Class2)
- Have a valid CPC certificate. (Class 2)
- Have an excellent approach to customer service.
- Strong work ethic and initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure.

Due to our continued growth and development, we are expanding the night team and looking for full time Nightshift Order Pickers with experience in a busy warehouse environment to join our team in Embleton.
About the Role
As a crucial member of our night shift operations, you will be responsible for carefully picking customer orders ready for delivery the next day. You will ensure all products are picked correctly and stacked safely. You may be required to lift products up to 25kg. You will pick orders through a voice pick system in both ambient and temperature-controlled areas in a fast-moving, busy and varied environment. Successful candidates will work approximately 35 hours’, over 5 nights per week across Sunday to Friday with shift hours starting at 18:00 hrs. A flexible approach to finish times is required due to seasonal demand. We offer a competitive rate of pay of £13.80 per hour for our Night Order Pickers
You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintain and complete your nightly pick rate.
- Ensure the accuracy of your picking with regards to the provision of the picking service package and that specifically all products being correctly picked, labelled customers’ orders.
- Maintain a hygienic working environment by the clean as you go policy.
- Provide good and consistent communication to your superiors.
- Responsibility for the hygiene and health and safety in your work area and others
