Shepherds Purse Bells Bluemin White
Bluemin White is a rich, creamy blue cheese that's full of flavour.
Handcrafted in small truckles, Bluemin White is made differently from traditional blue cheeses. Rather than being pierced to create blue veins, it develops a beautiful velvety blue rind that allows the cheese to ripen gently from the outside in, creating an irresistibly soft, rich and indulgent texture.
Wonderfully versatile, it's equally at home on a cheeseboard or baked in the oven like a Brie, where its creamy centre becomes deliciously molten. Developed in 2010 on our family farm in North Yorkshire, Bluemin White is made using locally sourced cow's milk and traditional artisan cheesemaking techniques.
A true award winner, it received the highest accolade of three stars at the Great Taste Awards for the second time in 2026, placing it among the UK's Top 125 foods. It has also been awarded Gold at the British Cheese Awards and multiple Gold and Super Gold awards at the World Cheese Awards since its launch back in 2010.

| About Producer | Shepherds Purse began in the late 1980’s when Judy Bell discovered her passion and talent for cheese making. Having started by making cheese only from sheep milk, they extended their range to include cow's milk and even water buffalo milk cheeses. Today, they are best known for their blue cheeses Yorkshire Blue and Harrogate Blue, and for theirr sheep milk Mediterranean salad-style cheese, Yorkshire Fettle as well as theirr sheep milk blue Mrs Bell's Blue. As Shepherds Purse has grown, they remain a proud, independent family business, making cheese in the traditional way on their farm in North Yorkshire. The Shepherds Purse team is now a team of 35 passionate artisans being led by Judy’s two daughters Katie and Caroline. |
